FAQ’s 

1. How much does it cost to publish this magazine on a monthly basis? 
      
There are three main expenses: postage, printing, and graphics. Approximate costs are: Printing $1300.00, Postage $800.00, Graphics $900.00. Additional monthly Costs: Royalties $350.00, Website $30.00, National Sales program $50.00 

2. Where is the printing and graphics done? 
      
The printing is done at your local printer (they need to be a web press printer) Graphics is done by DDM Graphics in Tampa, Fl. The reason for having it printed locally is to avoid shipping costs and to expedite the process. The reason for having graphics done by our graphics company is to keep all the publications consistent in format and to be able to offer you a lower than standard industry rate. 

3. How do you get the publication out to the people? 
     
You will use two different types of mailing: Direct mail and Bulk distribution. The direct mail will go to individuals acquired by mailing lists, the bulk distribution will be mailed to non-profit organizations that deal with people with disabilities. Ex: PVA, Spinal Cord Assoc., MDA, MS, Support Groups, Hospitals, Rehabs, etc… 

4. How much of a profit can we expect the magazine to make? 
     
The potential is unlimited. It all depends on your saleperson(s), how much time is spent on soliciting advertisers, the experience of the salesperson(s), how aggressive the salesperson is etc… (Florida had monthly sales of $17,000 when it was sold- and was on an upward trend at the time of the sale. Florida had one full-time experienced salesperson, a full-time office person, and a part-time telemarketer) 

5. What personnel is needed to run the publication? 
     
We recommend a full-time salesperson, part-time telemarketer and full-time office person. 

6. What type of program do you use for data entry? 
      Disabled Dealer will provide you with a custom designed Lotus Approach program that will allow you to enter orders, invoices, distribution, happenings, etc.. It also includes A/R, sales reports, forecasting, statements, etc… 

7. What do we get for our initial investment? 
     The registered trademark name “Disabled Dealer Magazine”, Two weeks training in sales and computer data entry making this a turn-key business, entry into our national sales program, access to our website, ongoing computer support, inclusion in national advertising in other disability publications, leads, corporate support at national expo shows…and much more!
